2 balls #1042 overcast

•Size H/8/5mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge

•Tapestry needle

Pattern Notes

Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated.

Chain-1 at beginning of row does not count as a stitch; it’s just to turn the row.

Special Stitch

Cluster (cl): [Yo, insert hook into st indicated and draw up 1 lp] 3 times, yo and draw through all 7 lps on hook.

Make 2.

Setup row: Ch 30, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn. (29 sc)

Row 1 (WS): Ch 1 (see Pattern Notes), sc in first sc, [cl (see Special Stitch) in next st, sc in next st] across, turn.

Row 2: Ch 1, sc in first st and in each st across, turn.

Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each of first 2 sc, cl in next sc, [sc in next st, cl in next st] across to last 2 sc, sc in each of last 2 sc, turn.

Row 4: Ch 1, sc in first st and in each st across, turn.

Rep [rows 1–4 consecutively] until piece measures 8½ inches, ending with a WS row.

Assembly

Edge

Place on top of each other with WS facing. Pin to hold in place.

Join yarn through both layers in 1 of the corners. Working through double layers, work sc evenly around the edge of all pieces, placing 3 sc in each corner.

Hanging Lp

Adding a 2nd strand of yarn, working with 2 strands, ch 12, sl st in same sp as first ch.

Fasten off.

Finishing

Weave in ends.
